Lovin' Landscapes

How was everyone's weekend?! I was one of the lucky ones who had three days off of work, and I'm happy to report that I did quite a bit! I went estate-saleing and came home with some really cool Victorian silver, cross-country skied for the first time ever and watched, ummm, eight episodes of Breaking Bad. In a row. Whoops. Laundry, unfortunately, is yet to be done.



I also hit up some antique stores and came home with an old de-silvered mirror and a 1925 landscape painting. I'm going to put the painting in my bathroom because I think the mossy hues and aged patina will work with the rustic vibe I'm going for, inspired by this shot. More to come on that later.

I have a soft spot in my heart for landscape artwork in general, so I thought I'd do a round up of some of my favorite examples... enjoy!

      Yeah I would definitely recommend going to one sometime, way better than garage sales I think. Watch out though, it's addicting!

    It sounds like you had a lovely long weekend last week. And, just look at all those finds! It will be fun to see how you display the painting in your home.

    You picked some good landscape pics - I feel as though try as hard as I may, my place would end up looking like some 1980s horror if I picked up one of those pieces

    Oh, I hear ya'! I just recently moved into a new house and I am having so much fun decorating it... although, it seems to be a mixed of 2-3 different styles. I'm not quite sure whether to keep it... or define it into one specific style. Nonetheless, it's been fun! :)

    I adore those photos you shared. That pinkish/red couch is GORGEOUS! Wow. I'd love to have that but in a gray... or even dark teal color. :)
