Music -> Decor : Passion Pit

Isn't music so amazing? It gives me ridiculous amounts of pleasure. And that Pandora... pretty effin cool. Lately I've been switching back and forth between the nostalgic, grungy 90s alt station, the androgynous but very sexy La Roux and the classic love-him-to-death or it-all-sounds-the-same DMB. It doesn't all sound the same though, it really doesn't. Pandora even got me into Country for the first time in my life - all because of the Taylor Swift station. Pretty sneaky - I thought she was Pop!

Gotta interrupt to say that as I'm writing this, I'm listening to Third Eye Blind and godddddddddddd. So good. I will never tire of Stephan Jenkin's voice. I still can't believe he dated Vanessa Carlton.

Anyway, not too long ago, I was having the Best Day Ever at work, all because I was listening to Passion Pit and it just sounded so freakin good to me at that moment. I think it was Little Secrets, or maybe Sleepyhead, but I was just like "wow." I even gmailed my friend Hannah about it - more specifically, I was wondering if she thought they could pull off a Christmas album. And if so, how amazing would that be? Music is awesome.

Then I thought.... it would be so cool to be able to style a room so that it gives you the same kind of feeling a certain piece of music does. So this is going to be a recurring blog topic - music translated to home decor.

And I'll begin with Passion Pit.

Below are the photos from an Apartment Therapy "House Call" in Paris.
3 ways to describe the music and this home? Playful, bright and a bit overwhelming. You're smiling, aren't you?
